Setting realistic expectations for week one

Care Team · Jun 26, 2026

Week one is mostly logistics, not results: your first shipment arriving, your first check-in, getting the daily habit of logging established. Most protocols aren’t designed to show measurable change that fast, and we’d rather say that upfront than let week one feel like a letdown.

The more useful marker for week one is whether the routine is sticking — are check-ins happening, is anything worth flagging to your clinician. That’s what actually predicts whether the protocol has a chance to work over the timeline it’s designed for.
